My catalogue includes many concert works, large and small, mostly on commission. I've composed instrumental music for solo piano and other solo instruments, various chamber ensembles, string and full orchestra, and a clarinet concerto. I've also written music for solo voices and for choral ensembles â sacred or secular, in numerous languages, accompanied and not, as well as a large concert work for chorus and orchestra and a two-hour fully orchestrated opera with chorus and seven soloists.
I'm always interested in new commission ideas. Do you have an idea and a budget? Please (325) 305-9986 and let's discuss your project!
My choral setting of the poem Pied Beauty will be performed at a gala Carnegie Hall Concert on January 20, 2019, entitled Every Life Shall Be A Song: A Choral Concert featuring the Works of Women Composers, Poets and Lyricists.
In mid-September 2018 pianist Marvin Rosen, host of Princeton's iconic "Classical Discoveries" radio show, performed my composition To Solace My Heart on a pair of concerts in Elizabethtown, NY celebrating and showcasing piano music by women composers.
I received a Special Judges Citation: "Music for Use: Accessible, Well-crafted, and Always Attractive" from The American Prize 2017-2018 in Composition in the instrumental chamber music category (professional division), for five of the songs from my Whereas solo piano CD: The Whisper of the Meaning; My Blue Ocean, Your Eyes; The Gentle Rain of Your Pure Love; To Solace My Heart; and A Complete Life in Our Hands.
